Charlie's website helps to preserve our village's past heritage and memories in the best possible way – pictures and photographs, which he believes should be shared with everyone (the pictures in the banner at the top of this page were kindly supplied by Charlie).

Charlie, who has lived almost all of his life in Monkseaton, regularly contributes articles to Roundabout Monkseaton. His books “Monkseaton & Hillheads” and “Inns and Taverns of North Shields” are published by Tempus and are available in all good book shops.
